Some people have asked me if I would post devotions on my website. In answer to your requests for inspired thoughts, I have added a new section entitled "Inspired Thoughts"

Here you will find words of wisdom and thoughts of hope for your everyday struggles in life.

I will be setting up a message board where you can share your own thoughts and inspirations.

My hope is that through thess Inspired Thoughts you will find a place to pray, to believe and to dream the dreams God gave you.

It will not always be easy, and I must confess right now I am suffering through a really dry spell where God is so distant in my situations I cannot even remember His warm embrace which I have felt so vividly in the past, but I know the SON will shine again and even though I get angry at him, when I say I am sorry, he is ready to forgive me and provide another dose of grace for the journey.

JEREMIAH 29:10

A promise of peace in the midst of turmoil

When life spins out of control its hard to believe that God's thoughts toward us are of peace and not disaster.

Life is hard, disappointing and sometimes cruel. Its amazing any of us survivie the tragedies that occur in the course of daily living, but somehow we do survive and so it must be that God's thoughts of peace are shining down on us in those horrific moments of our existence.

How else could we make it though this life?

For I know the thoughts that I think toward, thoughts of peace and not evil to give you a future and a hope.

MORE IMPORTANT TO HIM THAN THE SPARROWS

Shame's definition is the destruction of self identity.

We have all felt shame at one time or another. Perhaps it was in the way our parents handled us, making us feel worthless. Maybe it was a teacher who demeaned us by saying we were stupid or maybe it was the way we treated ourselves by wrong choices and destructive behavior simply because we believed that we didn't deserve anything better in life.

Do you know that God said we are more valuable than the sparrows and he notes their fall.

How much more, he says, he will care for us when we fall.

Maybe its time we take God at his word , believing we are more important than the sparrows and trusting God that he will help us through the dark times of our lives.

Ask Him today for the grace to pick yourself up from your mistakes and make a fresh start. This time remember you are worth more than sparrows.

RESPECT YOURSELF!

HEBREWS 13:5

I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.

Christmas is supposed to be a time of good cheer. Families gathering, sharing gifts and a home cooked meal, but for most of us Christmas is a time of feeling alone, isolated from the crowd. Even if we have the largest family get together and are surrounded by friends who care about us, there is still this nagging emptiness inside.

People take stock of their lives at this time of year  - who they are, what they've accomplished and most are unhappy with the results. Then New Year's Eve comes and new resolutions are made, but rarely kept.

Life is hard and promises made by others or to ourselves are easily broken. We are flawed people with flawed lives for the most part.

By now you are asking yourself where I am going with all of this!  Well, I'll tell you - Jesus was born to us as an innocent baby boy to parents who struggled in life to survive. He grew up in the same world we did, one flled with disappointments and sorrows, but there is one different besides the obvious - Son of God title.

Jesus knew who he was, where he came from and that no matter what, his father in heaven would never let him down.  I believe Jesus tried to teach his apostles that lesson during his life on earth. Did they eventually get it? Only God knows for sure.

We have the same promise afforded to us,  Jesus promises never to leave us nor forsake us. We are special to him.

During this holiday season allow yourself to be loved and cherished by the one who is all love to all people. Know you are special, even if you don't feel that way.

Reach out to someone who is hurting and alone and watch the miracle of love turn your sorrow and theirs to great joy.

On this holiday season, I wish all my readers, God's choicest blessings and favor for the coming year!

Yours in Christ,

Angela T. Pisaturo
